The Square One Teen Theatre production was a success! The turnout was good, the audience had a great time, and the cast enjoyed themselves as well. We will be posting clips and pictures online soon - stay tuned! Now it's time to get ready for the film festival.

Press

We've been working hard to get some press for the organization. Corey and I just submitted a story to CNN's iReport, in hopes of getting on the "Young People Who Rock" series. They also have a blog, located here.

Forecast and Call To Arms
Posted by Dave on 19 Jun | Would you like to comment? 0 so far!

Kirk spoke briefly, but I must say if this concert gets rained out...all of you reading this who want to enjoy the music of these musicians must RALLY TOGETHER! Revitalarts is just as much about YOU, in fact even moreso, than it is about the select few performing tomorrow evening. If you want more concerts, come to us and make suggestions and if you want to donate the time, help us put something together!

We are looking to REVITALIZE all aspects of the arts in the greater FFD County area, so any and all help in the act would be greatly appreciated!

Concert/Rain

I'm really hoping that the forecast is blatantly lying and there isn't actually an 80% chance of severe thunderstorms tomorrow night. However, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope!

If the weather is anything like it was yesterday, I'm afraid we'll have to make the call to cancel. We won't know until tomorrow, and it's on as of now! Everyone hope the rain passes and we can have the concert!

Concert and Radio Show

So I uploaded our appearance on the WPKN radio show this morning onto Garageband, the songs have also been individually cut so you can listen to them on your own.

I was there in person, I'm on there, it happened, the music is real. Seriously, Cristina Harris sounded fantastic and had a great sense for melody. And even despite some flem, Zach Miko still rocked. If flem cannot stop Zach, neither can rain. That is, unless it is raining. Either way, I've listened to Fournier and Connor, they sound great and authentic as songwriters. If it all goes down, the show will be great.

Concert

We've been busy getting ready for the Kickoff Concert. Right now the weather is looking good - we're keeping our fingers crossed. If it does rain, the concert will most likely still happen, but if it's really bad outside we will cancel.

We have a few perks going on to try to pull in as many people as possible. For one, the concert admission is a suggested donation. Whatever you can give we will take. Also, if you donate, you'll get a 10% off coupon to Bun 'N Burger across the street. They'll be staying open late just for the concert. Finally, we will be giving out discount coupons to our Square One Teen Theatre show.

The first ever RevitalArts T-Shirts will be on sale at the show. They're normally $15, but only $12 for members!

See you there!

Great Music

So I was listening to some music from Mike Falzone and Zach Miko, it all rocks honestly. I don't see why they don't have a major label deal yet. I think they could reignite the singer/songwriter trend that was so happening circa 2002/2003. Especially now where its such a single's focused industry, these guys will get people to actually buy albums.

It will be especially cool to actually see them play live now at the Kickoff Concert now after hearing their music. From what I hear the other artists featured are just as good. I fully intend on listening to them within the next week and I'll let you know what I think.

Stratford Day Thanks!

Thanks to everyone that came out and sang karaoke at Stratford Day! We handed out a lot of pamphlets and got our name out to a huge audience.

Hopefully this momentum can continue through each of our events.

Oh and did you see our shirt displayed? It's awesome, I might be 7 just so I can wear a clean one every day of the week.

Square One Cast List

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate everyone on their tremendous auditions. The amount of talent presented to us was truly astounding and made the cast selection very difficult. Unfortunately, there was not a role for everyone, but there are still several ways to stay involved with this summer’s production of Black Comedy and The Actor’s Nightmare. The first rehearsal will take place this Sunday at 2pm at the RevitalArts summer office located at 4021 Main St right by the Green in Stratford. All cast members are required to attend and must bring a pen or pencil. Please have a good idea of your schedule for the summer and any possible conflicts with rehearsals. Scripts will also be given out. We also encourage anyone interested in assisting with behind-the-scenes efforts to attend the rehearsal as well. If you are unable to attend, please contact me as soon as possible. And without further ado, I present to you the cast of Square One Teen Theatre’s 2009 summer production:

We're here at the Stratford Library. Auditions have been going well. We have a record number of people auditioning... which is GREAT! We'll update later with information about the cast list. Keep an eye out.
