The Paperclip Plays Project Shows

Paperclip Plays Project is bringing six new plays by five stellar young playwrights to the stage this January!

Admission

Conceived and directed by Quinn Rooney
A devised theater piece about stressing out, growing up, and meeting unknowns at every turn, as you stumble your way towards the elusive college acceptance letter. Created from scratch by a four-person ensemble through an improvisational rehearsal process, Admission is all about making it up, and figuring it out as you go along.

Brand New Car and Tech Support

By Joseph Burgess

Directed by John Mozier-Tichy
Brand New Car is a dark comedy about making mistakes - and making someone else pay for them. Tech Support a riotous exploration of man and computer, just trying to log a little face time. Both are sharp-tongued clever comedies of modern-day mania, and distinctly 21st century living.

Clever Cuttlefish

By Alexandra Keegan

Directed by Krist’n Otharsson
A lyric, whimsical journey through the delicate ground between childhood and adulthood, and an honest, evocative tale of family, love, and memory, Clever Cuttlefish delicately probes questions of home and growing up in a family of five daughters in this unconventionally flooring family drama.

Just. A Play.

By Scott Bartelson

Directed by Carly Maier
Philosophical and funny, Just. A Play. just wants to figure out what it all means in the age of the instant information and the iPhone. A quirky cast of characters make the rounds in an art gallery, and round out the big picture in this hilarious tale of image, information, and hidden self-doubt.

What Jane Would Like

Written & directed by Kate Doyle
Frenzied Jane just wants to prove she can pull off a grown-up dinner affair, but her antagonizing friends won't leave her be. This comic tale of dinner with friends wonders what it means to be newly adult in the company of those with whom you were once children - especially in a world where the neat order of strict manners and formalities is rapidly giving way.
