About Square One Teen Theatre
Square One Teen Theatre was founded by Tim Jaekle and Zach Miko in the summer of 2007. With support from Stratford?s Square One Theatre company, Jaekle and Miko decided to create an organization that gives youth in the surrounding area a chance to showcase their acting skills on stage through classic plays. 2007 marked the first production of the theatre company as they presented the Joseph Kesselring comedy, Arsenic & Old Lace. Jared Taylor produced the show and the three young adults planned to work together for years to come.
In 2008, the trio chose Neil Simon's Plaza Suite as their Summer production. The cast and crew worked very hard over the 6 weeks between auditions and opening night, resulting in a successful weekend run. Jaekle, Miko, and Taylor have been adamant about having only youth involved in the production aspects ranging from set construction to fundraising to advertising. Therefore, the community is able to see just how much can be accomplished when young people put their determination and effort to work.
This summer, Square One Teen Theatre will be performing two one act shows; Black Comedy and The Actor's Nightmare.
