The Stratford Film Festival

The Stratford Film Festival was started in 2005 by then sophomore Kevin Kunze. It was held at the Unitarian Universalist church in Stratford, and featured films such as Basic Four's The Feminist and Precious Roy's Being Kevin Kunze. Hosted by Ben Vigeant, the event served as a fundraiser for Bunnell S.T.A.G.E. It was a memorable night for all who attended.

The Second Annual Stratford Film Festival was held in 2006 at the Stratford Theatre. Hosted by Tom Haggerty, the event benefited the Stratford Library.  It featured such firlms as Precious Roy's Bill and the Board Room & Mark Vigeant?s Anne Frank 3. The festival was a success, but there was still  room for improvement.

The 3rd Annual Festival in 2007 was a smashing success. Awards were introduced, with Paul Briganti?s The Editor winning best picture. The 4th Annual event brought back host Tom Haggerty and an array of films from drama to comedy. Featured films included Kevin Kunze's Semper Fi, and Brittany Delillio's Welcome Home.

The 2009 Stratford Film Festival will be extended to a 2 night event on July 24 and 25. The Festival will feature several full length student directed films, in addition to the usual shorts and comedic pieces that are the cornerstone of the event.
